Joey’s Home Trust $500K Campaign
The Joey’s Home Trust was established in 1988 with original funds provided by The Great One himself, Wayne Gretzky. With money raised through his past golf tournaments, Gretzky established the ‘Joey’s Home Trust,’ managed by the Winnifred Stewart Association.
By 2007, the trust was valued at $1.5 million dollars and helped fund the building of “Joey’s Home”, a residence featuring assisted living accommodations for 8 people, as well as 4 independent living apartments. Today, the trust provides funds for current renovation needs as well as the groundwork for future building projects.
Through The Joey’s Home Trust 500k Campaign, The Winnifred Stewart Foundation has committed to raising $500,000 over the next two years to help fund some much needed upgrades in homes provided by The Winnifred Stewart Association for adults with developmental disabilities.
Renovation projects included for the 2019/20 Budget year include:
landscaping/ grading
replacement of fences
new storage sheds
deck repairs
painting of interiors/ exterior of houses
replacement of interior doors and door fixtures
replacement of exterior doors
basement renovations (insulation, floors, painting)

bathroom renovations (new toilets, tubs, sinks, flooring, painting)
